maybe we can talk about the ways that fatphobia and cissexism manifest and the double standard they create when combined

in that thin trans people, regardless of birth assignment, are seen as having a more viable, believable, and “passable” gender identity than their fat counterparts

fat afab bodies are often coded as female while fat amab bodies are coded as male - more so than the bodies of thin trans people. androgyny is also seen as a thin-specific form of presentation.

there are different ideas behind each of these false assumptions but the basis of them is fatphobia and the way we idealize thin bodies as the default representation of any gender presentation.
